Our behaviors in business, science, technology, learning, family, culture, and art must be attuned and aligned with the other worlds where beyond humans reside.
Not only do we need to revisit our conducts in the society, economy, and environment, but also instantaneously act upon learnings from the revisiting. It is an urgent call to create a safe and open space where we are allowed to ideate, prototype, test, implement, revise, and re-apply what matters to our life in order to accommodate all beings on this planet: humans and nonhumans alike.
One building isn’t enough even if it’s 50-story high rise. One company isn’t enough even if its facility reaches to 260,000 square meters. One school isn’t enough even if 50,000 students study there. For they are such a tiny part of human life that they don’t capture the whole picture of our conducts. The human urban life a ects gigantically the rest of the globe. More holistic approach towards the urban development is required. Therefore, our answer is to design an entire neighborhood with its surrounding natural landscape. We will make our neighborhood from the foundation such as soil, water, and air.
We believe that we are becoming more than smart for our convenience: boundless and conscious beings who share the earth with the other humans, other non-humans, including the invisible and the inaudible.
We see the world as interconnected
We cross over walls that hinder us from sincerely looking into each other’s eyes. Our behaviors in business, science, technology, learning, family, culture, and art must be attuned and aligned with the other worlds where beyond humans reside. It is not we humans who protect, restore, and save the world. We simply influence and simultaneously form the multiple worlds together. We are shaped and designed by them, as well. The perspective of beyond human sovereignty is the paradigm of NION.
