The What, How and Why of Cultural Archetypes
October 24, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Cultural archetypes are everywhere in our lives – without thinking, we know all of the different facets of the role of a mother, a pupil, but also more remote characters, such as what it means to act like a magician.
In a quick deep dive into the topic, we look at how cultural archetypes have been conceptualised in psychology (Carl Gustav Jung) and used in popular culture (e.g. in the Tarot).
Then we experiment together how they can be used as a storytelling tool in a professional context, for instance when planning and building up personal and community projects.
The session will be facilitated by Christoph Welter, who is exploring different ways of using archetypes in his work as an ethnographic researcher and innovation consultant.
